The Will County American Legion Council also known as Will County American Legion of Illinois is a network of American Legion Posts located within Will County, Illinois.
The Will County American Legion Council is comprised of Post Commanders (or designated representative(s)) with the objective of strengthening and growing American Legion Posts within Will County, Illinois.
Best practices and knowledge sharing are discussed for opportunities to grow and enhance our American Legion Posts which can be achieved by:
- promoting the American Legion mission/values
- addressing local, state and national veteran issues
- highlighting the importance of “Be The One”
- increase membership opportunities
- communication/social media/advertisement
- collaborative development of materials
- support of Will County American Legion Posts
Any discussions or decisions made by Will County American Legion Council will not impact the individual Post Commander's authority to manage their Post or requirement to confer with their membership prior to obligating funds.
Meetings are held on a quarterly basis, or as determined appropriate to address emergent topics.
Meetings are not open to the public. Will County American Legion Council may obtain information or briefings from organizations that address veteran issues of interest to the American Legion.
